688 Miles with the Best Friends Around

This past weekend I traveled Mississippi from top to bottom and back. 688 miles to be exact. Saturday afternoon, my friend Mary Elizabeth and I headed down to Jackson for Mary Garner, Haley, and Mary Margaret's debutante party.  The party was fabulous and the location made it even better.  The Capri Theatre, a movie theater that boomed in the early 50's, was rented out for the event. There was a photo booth and flip books were made.  I was meant to live in the 20's because every time I go to a Gatsby party, it ends up being one of my favorites.  

Monday afternoon, six of us went down to the coast for our friend, Anna's, Debutante.  Anna looked beautiful and we all were so lucky to be there to welcome her into society.  688 miles, 6 girls, 3 nights, and one great weekend.  This one was to much fun not to share.

December Daze

It's now that time of year again. Finals are here, Christmas Break is less than a week away, and everyone has that tunnel vision only looking up when we reach the finish line on December 13th.  We are now in the period that I like to call "December Daze."  Every college kid is emotionally unstable, sleep deprived, and running on five cups of coffee.  Kids in the Honors College would give their left arm for a seat in the dungeon.  Thinking of going to the Library? Finding a seat in there is like running to the cornucopia in the Hunger Games. VERY hostile.  But hey, it's already Monday night.  No matter if you are done tomorrow or Friday at six, Christmas break can't be longer than four days away.  Here is a little bit of inspiration to get you through the week as well as a few things that are helping me out. Focus, study hard, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
